In terms of artistry progression, this was a Euro step for me. Off kilter. Smooth. Elusive. The materials are nothing special. Paint marker for the drawn line, oil paint, magazine paper, and glue for the magazine papers application. The most important component of the composition is creativity. Know who you are. Be confident in who you are. I only took a few art classes in high school. Sadly, they were all the same class. Just different levels of the same subject. I do not have any formal training for any creative outlet of mine: painting, music, photography, visuals, etc. The only thing I can do to captivate the audience is put myself into. Whatever medium of art it may be. And people tend to listen when they can see your Soul.

Pink is one of my favorite accent colors. I wanted to only use pinks when I did the painting but after applying pink I decided to reassess my idea. My skin is brown so it was an easy choice to balance out the pink. It is also genetically inspired. Meh. For the shirt area I used pages out of fashion magazines. My clothes in real life are fairly distressed so I tried to model that feeling in the painting. This painting is inspired from the photo I took on New Year’s Eve 2017 going into 2018; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia with my homies. Teresa did my makeup so I was feeling super wavy. It was my soft boy season and I was looking for a way to express that. C’est la vie.
Put God first. Create what you want. Be what you want.
Shout out to Brian Walker for doing the photoshoot. He took a lot of photos of me. Keep scrolling if you love to see it.
